Iran's Cotton Sandstorm group was noted for initiating reconnaissance on election-related websites in vulnerable US swing states, hinting at a coordinated cyber strategy ahead of the vote.
Another Iranian group, Storm-2035, has been active in disseminating divisive content disguised as local news, targeting both Democrats and Republicans with around eight articles per week.
