The K-12 operations platform PowerSchool, which supports over 60 million students and 18,000 customers, suffered a data breach that exposed sensitive information.
PowerSchool reported to Bleeping Computer that it paid a ransom and received assurances that the data has been deleted and no further copies exist.
In an email, PowerSchool stated the incident is contained and there are no expected disruptions to their services, assuring their customers of continued operation.
Despite the serious nature of the breach, PowerSchool's website and social media lack announcements or guidance for affected individuals.
