Once Kinsing infects a system, it deploys a cryptocurrency-mining script that exploits the host's resources to mine cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, resulting in significant damage to the infrastructure and a negative impact on system performance.
One of those threat groups, Kinsing, is already well-known for taking advantage of high-profile flaws to target Linux systems to mine cryptocurrency and commit other nefarious activity, according to Trend Micro.
