The hacker claimed to have captured 31 million account details from the Internet Archive, with evidence shared on Have I Been Pwned documenting the breach.
Brewster Kahle, the founder of Archive.org, disclosed a DDoS attack coinciding with the security breach, indicating a coordinated effort against the site.
The recently confirmed breach revealed a 6.4 GB SQL file containing sensitive authentication data such as email addresses, hashed passwords, and timestamps alongside the actual event date.
The data leak will soon be uploaded to Have I Been Pwned's database, allowing users to verify if their emails were compromised in the security incident.
