Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) is currently probing a data breach following a hacker named IntelBroker's claims of stealing sensitive information. Allegedly, the stolen data includes source code, private GitHub repositories, and access keys to various HPE services, as well as user data with personally identifiable information. HPE has activated its cyber response protocols and denies any operational impact or involvement of customer information. This incident follows a prior breach by the Midnight Blizzard group, raising concerns regarding HPE's cybersecurity resilience.
HPE became aware on January 16 of claims being made by a group called IntelBroker that it was in possession of information belonging to HPE. HPE immediately activated our cyber response protocols, disabled related credentials, and launched an investigation to evaluate the validity of the claims.
IntelBroker claims to have stolen a trove of data from HPE, including product source code, private GitHub repositories, and access keys to several HPE services.
