Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has started informing individuals about the theft of personal information due to a cyberattack attributed to Russian government hackers in 2023. More than a dozen individuals have been notified about the breach, which compromised sensitive data such as Social Security numbers and credit card information. The attack, which began in May 2023, involved the infiltration of HPE's email and SharePoint systems. HPE has linked the attack to a group called Midnight Blizzard, associated with Russian intelligence. Microsoft also confirmed its networks were targeted during this incident.
