Columbus 500K people affected by Rhysida ransomware attack

The City of Columbus has confirmed that approximately 500,000 people's data was accessed and potentially stolen during a ransomware attack by Rhysida over the summer.
Rhysida's dump of about 3 TB of files included sensitive personal information, including names, addresses, social security numbers, and bank account details that could be potentially accessed on the dark web.
Connor Goodwolf reported that some of the data sets originated from the city's prosecutor's database, suggesting the potentially serious implications due to the nature of this sensitive information.
Concerningly, while the exact nature of all the exposed data remains unknown, the detailed personal information released could create significant risks for the individuals affected.
