The Everest ransomware group claimed credit for the cyberattack, asserting that they had stolen the personal information, including identification documents, of over 420,000 Stiiizy customers.
Stiiizy has not provided specifics on the number of affected customers but stated that the incident impacted four of its retail locations in California.
Stiiizy received a notification from its point-of-sale processing vendor about an organized cybercrime group compromising customer data from select retail locations.
