Top Gun 3 has been officially announced by Paramount during CinemaCon, with Tom Cruise set to return. Jerry Bruckheimer will produce, but the director is not yet confirmed. Cruise has expressed interest in various storylines for the sequel. The film follows the success of Top Gun: Maverick, which grossed $1.5 billion and received six Oscar nominations. Paramount aims to release 30 movies annually under its new merger with Warner Bros, with other projects also in development.
