In response to the 2023 writers' and actors' strikes over AI concerns, Staircase Studios AI is exploring a middle ground by utilizing AI technology to streamline production while still engaging creative professionals at every stage. Founded by notable industry figures, the studio is working on its inaugural project, a WWII film based on a Dutch resistance fighter. With an aim to produce cost-effective films, it hopes to foster collaboration and enhance creativity among artists, contrary to fears of AI replacing them.
