Botstein will remain on the faculty as a teacher and musician. Although not accused of involvement in Epstein's crimes, he had a friendly relationship with him. Documents revealed multiple meetings between them, and Botstein reached out to Epstein after new details of his prosecution emerged. Epstein donated $150,000 to Bard, which Botstein claimed to have donated to the college.
