Dr. Joseph Basile has been appointed vice president and deputy hospital president at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze. Basile's career at SIUH began in 2014 as an administrative fellow after completing his emergency medicine residency at SUNY Downstate - Kings County Hospital.

In 2024, Basile was appointed interim vice president and deputy hospital president, where he played a key role in advancing the hospital's strategic and operational goals.
