According to the CDC, the E. coli outbreak associated with bagged organic carrots has resulted in one death and at least 39 reported cases across the country.
The CDC warns consumers to avoid eating the affected carrots and to properly dispose of them while cleaning any surfaces that came into contact with them.
Grimmway Farms, the carrot producer named in a lawsuit, stated it is reviewing its operations to ensure the safety and quality of its produce.
