Trump is scheduled for a doctor’s appointment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Tuesday. The White House announced the visit as a routine annual dental and medical assessment and described it as part of regular preventive health care. The appointment will be his third visit in 13 months, raising concerns about his health. Trump is turning 80 in June and has faced repeated questions tied to age, swollen ankles, and bruised hands. His last annual physical was in April of the previous year, followed by a cognitive test and a memo reporting excellent health. He later returned for a scheduled follow-up in October and received a CT scan to assess cardiovascular and abdominal health. He said he regretted the CT scan and attributed hand bruising to taking too much aspirin.
"White House physician Capt. Sean Barbabella said the president "remains in excellent overall health." But the questions about Trump's health persisted, as footage continued to show makeup covering his bruised hands and occasional lethargy during presidential appearances. In January, Trump addressed the health issue directly and told the Wall Street Journal he regretted getting the October CT scan because of the speculation that followed and attributed the bruising on his hand to taking too much aspirin."
