The breast cancer burden in lower income countries is even worse than we thought

Ilbawi and other WHO officials say among the most "striking" findings in this year's report are the figures pointing up the outsized burden of breast cancer on low-income countries.

Low-income countries face challenges such as a lack of resources, infrastructure, and trained healthcare professionals to provide adequate cancer care.
