Dane recalled meeting Gayheart, marrying in 2004 and raising two daughters, Billie (15) and Georgia (14). Gayheart filed for divorce in 2018 but rescinded the petition in March 2025, and she supported Dane and their children during his illness. Dane died less than a year after his diagnosis; his interview aired posthumously.
