The Muzej Lah, designed by the renowned British firm David Chipperfield Architects, will open next summer in Bled, Slovenia. This museum will showcase the Fundacija Lah collection, accumulated over 30 years by Igor and Mojca Lah, featuring over 800 post-war artworks by 100+ artists, including prominent figures like Anselm Kiefer and William Kentridge. The museum aims to foster dialogue and connection within the community and will be set against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Bled and the Julian Alps, enhancing the artistic experience through its stunning natural context.
"Mojca and I have always hoped that the Fundacija Lah art collection would one day be shared with others. Creating a museum where this collection can inspire dialogue and connection has long been a dream."
"The location of the museum in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Bled and the Julian Alps has significantly informed its design, ensuring it complements the natural beauty of the area."
