Moses Harris's landmark publication, The Natural System of Colours, from 1766 argued that the full spectrum of colors can emerge from the combination of three primary colors: red, yellow, and blue. This revolutionary idea laid the groundwork for color theory as we know it today. Recently, designer Nicholas Rougeux took on the challenge of digitizing Harris's colorful concepts, recreating his classic color wheels using modern digital tools. The digitized palettes, alongside hexadecimals for modern application, are now accessible, offering a fresh interpretation of Harris’s work while promoting a dialogue between historical and contemporary color understanding.
