Here Now, a North Carolina-based furniture company, has launched Tate, an innovative modular seating system aimed at improving user well-being in public spaces. Designed by Justin Champaign during the pandemic, Tate emphasizes privacy and wellness. Inspired by the High Line park, this versatile system allows for quick assembly without tools and features a patent-pending connector for easy reconfiguration. It supports a range of seating arrangements and various postures, making it suitable for diverse environments, from offices to hospitality venues, while being lightweight and fully recyclable.
"Tate was conceptualized during the pandemic when I was thinking about social distancing," says Justin Champaign, founder and creative partner.
"Tate provides the same kind of form and function for indoor environments, from offices to hospitality spaces."
A patent-pending pivot connector allows clients to link, rotate, or reconfigure pieces with ease.
The seating supports various postures, while seat pads that swivel keep bodies in motion during the day.
