Did Lego drop a brick with its weird Marvel logo set?
Briefly

The Lego Marvel logo could turn out to be a genius move if it works. It would unlock a whole new pipeline of easy hits. It could follow up with the DC Comics Logo, the IDW logo, the Tesco logo.
Fans aren't very impressed with the look of the 931-piece set, officially named 76313 MARVEL Logo. It costs $99.99 / £89.99 and doesn't do much.
The introduction of pirates and vikings started stretching things. Where were these supposed to go in a Lego town? And then suddenly we had Lego Star Wars, Lego Harry Potter.
Lego's been keen to hook up with pretty much any major movie franchise that it deems sufficiently kid-friendly, but the Marvel logo set seems like a step too far for some fans.
