SAN FRANCISCO Coach Steve Kerr gave the Sacramento Kings his stamp of approval when the Warriors' nearby rivals plucked Mike Brown from his coaching staff during last year's title run.Kerr had faith that Brown was a deserving candidate to help the Kings snap their dreadful 16-year playoff drought.Ten months later, Brown saw his Kings to a dominant 40-point beatdown in Portland on Wednesday that locked Sacramento in as the third Western Conference team to clinch a playoff spot.
