Following a disappointing 40-42 season and prompt elimination in the play-in tournament, please excuse me if I join many other fans when I say I'm ready to put this year behind us and look forward to the future.The Chicago Bulls' options this summer may be limited, but at this point, standing pat and not making any moves in either direction would be an abject failure for the franchise.

The Lakers took care of business closing out the Golden State Warriors, 122-101, eliminating them from the playoffs.Not only did the Lakers preserve their undefeated streak at home this postseason with their Game 6 win, but this is the first time Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Steph Curry were available for each game in a series and failed to win since the 2014 playoffs.

Celtics Ben Sullivan, Aaron Miles, and Mike Moser are expected to follow Udoka to Houston.Three assistant coaches on Joe Mazzulla's staff are expected to leave the Celtics for the Houston Rockets, according to Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe.The Houston Rockets' head coach is Ime Udoka, who was suspended by the Celtics for multiple team policy violations before he and the team parted ways.

With all due respect to the spectacle of the Lonnie Walker IV Game and the odd sight of LeBron James's real-time adoption of the elder statesman supporting player lifestyle, the Golden State Warriors find themselves in a 3-1 hole in their second-round series with the Lakers less because Walker went off and more because the defending champs themselves turned into pumpkins at the highest leverage moments of Game 4. They blew it!

We are long past the days of Austin Reaves' coming out party.Two series into a playoff run in which he has been near the heart of for the Lakers has done more than enough to prove him as a valuable player.And along with that, long gone are the days questioning what Austin Reaves will get in free agency.

The Lakers are making a big change ahead of the biggest game of their season on Friday.With a chance to close out the Warriors in Game 6 of the Western Conference second round, the Lakers will replace Jarred Vanderbilt in the starting lineup with Dennis Schröder.Dave McMenamin of ESPN initially reported that the Lakers would make a lineup change before Game 6 and Ham hinted at such in his pregame availability.

LOS ANGELES -- Golden State Warriors guard Andrew Wiggins is questionable for Friday's Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Los Angeles Lakers with a left costal cartilage fracture, which is an area of the rib cage.It's unclear when the injury occurred.

If the Warriors seem like a desperate team, it's because they are.One loss away from their season, and potentially their dynasty, coming to an end, they've pulled all the punches.After spending the series taking the high road, including outright saying officiating was the reason Golden State was losing, Steve Kerr went low and accused the Lakers of flopping after a loss in Game 4.

In their first chance to close out the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers fell well short in Game 5, losing on the road, 121-106on Wednesday night.Individually, LeBron James had an efficient offensive game scoring 25 points and knocking down three of his seven 3-point attempts.Anthony Davis was productive as well with23points and nine rebounds before leaving the game early due to a head injury in the fourth.

SAN FRANCISCO After Stephen Curry gave a heartfelt speech before Game 7 of the last series, Steve Kerr was mum on who said what heading into a do-or-die Game 5 Wednesday night.That's internal stuff, Kerr said pregame.But yeah, our guys are ready.The Warriors leaned in on their experience of being down 3-1 in a series before and having experienced both outcomes.

A month after being in the coaching candidate pool to turn around a downtrodden franchise, Kenny Atkinson is among the targets for a team on the other end of the winning spectrum.The Warriors' assistant is in the running for the Milwaukee Bucks' top job, according to a report Wednesday from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
