The NBA All-Star game will debut a new mini-tournament format on February 6, 2025, featuring a live draft. The game will consist of four teams, three of which will be selected by TNT's Inside the NBA commentators: Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kenny Smith. They will choose players from a pool of 24 voted starters and reserves. The fourth team, Team Candace, is named after WNBA star and TNT analyst Candace Parker and will include the Castrol Rising Stars tournament champion. The All-Star game is scheduled for February 16, 2025, in San Francisco.
