Bridge collapses in eastern Germany, disrupting traffic though no one was hurt

A section of the Carola Bridge in Dresden collapsed into the Elbe River, disrupting vital transportation and heating services, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Emergency responders were alerted shortly after 3 a.m. on Wednesday, and authorities are investigating the cause of the collapse which has affected multiple modes of transport.
