Subnautica 2 is moving forward with an early access launch in May on Xbox and PC after a prolonged legal battle between publisher Krafton and developer Unknown Worlds concluded. Studio head Steve Papoutsis announced that leadership from both companies unanimously determined the game is ready for release. The development team has completed significant progress including additional story chapters, new creatures, and new biomes. The game passed Krafton's milestone review and the studio expresses confidence in delivering an experience players will enjoy through open development alongside the community.
