""Real talk: Hytale isn't some polished AAA release waiting in the wings. It's messy. It's janky. And there's a lot of work to be done. My plan? Get it out to you as soon as possible. No more waiting. You'll get to play it, rough edges and all. It won't be perfect on day one. My hope is that together, we'll shape it into something truly special.""
Hypixel Studios set the standard edition price at $19.99 and two special editions at $34.99 and $69.99, each including cosmetics such as capes and hats. Founder Simon Collins-Laflamme repurchased the game, hired 50 staff, and accepted personal financial risk to keep the price low to maximize access. Supporter and Cupbreaker tiers offer higher-level funding options. The current build is unfinished and based on a version more than four years old. Hypixel acquired the rights after Riot canceled the project and is independently developing a revised version with plans to release early, iterate quickly, and improve the game with player feedback.
