"The Beast's 58-degree field of view is also impressive since it's a six-degree improvement over Viture's previous flagship model (Xreal 1S supports 52 degrees). If you want more than just three dimming options, which is what most smart glasses have offered, the electrochromic tint that The Beast uses offers nine levels of adjustment. This lets you see as much or as little of your surrounding environment as you desire."
Viture released its Luma series in 2025 and made its pro mobile dock compatible with Nintendo's Switch 2. The company launched The Beast at CES 2026, opening preorders at $549 with shipping beginning in February. The Beast includes built-in three degrees of freedom support so users can anchor a virtual screen or allow it to follow head movements without extra hardware. The headset expands the field of view to 58 degrees, six degrees wider than the prior flagship. An electrochromic tint provides nine adjustable levels, enabling variable visibility of the surrounding environment. The device also includes an embedded camera.
