Nvidia has launched the GeForce RTX 5050, successor to the RTX 3050, aimed at entry-level desktop and laptop markets. Priced at $249, the GPU features 8GB of video memory, 2,560 Blackwell CUDA cores, and delivers up to 60% better performance than its predecessor. Additionally, it supports modern gaming technologies including ray tracing and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. The RTX 5050 will be available from various OEMs starting mid-July, while laptops with this GPU begin at $999. Enhanced power efficiency is provided by GDDR7 memory in laptop versions.
