Nvidia's new G-Sync monitors no longer need a dedicated hardware module
Briefly

Nvidia is partnering with MediaTek to integrate G-Sync features into scalers, allowing monitors to sync refresh rates to GPUs without a proprietary module.
The collaboration will enable more monitors to feature the complete range of G-Sync technologies, including low latency HDR and Reflex Analyzer.
Nvidia's G-Sync technology initially required a dedicated module for synchronization but has evolved to accommodate FreeSync technology with compatible monitors.
Upcoming monitors like AOC's Agon Pro AG276QSG2 and Acer's Predator XB273U F5 will feature full G-Sync support using MediaTek scalers, enhancing gaming experience.
