She received a 4% stake in Amazon after the divorce and has directed much of that wealth toward philanthropy. Scott has continued to make diversity-focused donations despite public criticism. Morgan State University received a $63 million gift from Scott, following a $40 million donation in 2020. The African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund received $40 million, after a $20 million gift in 2021. Institutional leaders praised the scale and impact of her giving. Representatives for Scott did not respond to requests for comment.
