Notre Dame's bells returned and blessed before cathedral's December reopening

The arrival of the eight bells, blessed by Notre Dame's rector, signifies hope for the future and the cathedral's rebirth after the devastating 2019 fire.

Philippe Jost stated, "These bells are the voice of the cathedral... Their arrival lets us look ahead to the rebirth of Notre Dame." He emphasized their importance in daily life.

Originally, Emmanuel Macron wanted completion by the summer games, but complexities delayed the reopening, now set for December 7, marking a significant restoration milestone.

Refurbished in Normandy, the bells, ranging from over 4 tonnes to 782 kg, were removed for restoration and symbolize the rich history tied to the cathedral.
