Starting from May 2nd, 2025, Bordeaux will introduce a weight-based parking pricing model to promote smaller vehicles that are less polluting and safer for pedestrians. The new rates will impose higher fees on combustion vehicles over 1,600kg and hybrid/electric models above 1,900kg, aligning with measures taken in Paris and Lyon. Notably, common small cars will remain unaffected, impacting approximately 10% of local and 14% of visitor vehicles.
