Dahbia Benkired, 27, is accused of murder of a minor, aggravated rape, torture and an act of barbarity. Benkired was homeless, unemployed, and staying at her sister's flat in the same building where Daviet's parents worked as concierges. Surveillance captured Benkired meeting Daviet shortly after 3pm and later carrying suitcases including a large trunk. Benkired gave confused accounts, was examined by psychiatrists and psychologists, was judged fit to stand trial, and has been held in Fresnes prison for three years.
