Rwanda paid solemn tribute to genocide victims, 30 years after a vicious campaign that claimed 800,000 lives. President Kagame lit a remembrance flame at the Kigali Genocide Memorial, attended by foreign dignitaries acknowledging their failure to intervene.
The ceremonies began with Kagame honoring victims at the memorial where over 250,000 are believed to be buried. French President Macron noted their failure to stop the bloodshed despite the capability.
