Tamila Is Opening a Third Site and This Time It's Central
"The new Tamila, spread over two floors and featuring a private dining room in the basement, will be the largest of the three, though the menu will be broadly the same. That means more tandoor-cooked meats, okra fries, Thanjavur chicken curry, Chettinad lamb curry, and garlic coriander naan. The Gunpowder Margaritas, Tamil Negronis and Charcoal Old Fashioneds will also be appearing on the drinks list."
"Speaking about the new location, co-founder Prince Durairaj said: "Soho has always felt like a playground for some of London's most exciting and much-loved restaurants, so opening here has been a real dream of mine. It's such a special and energetic part of the city for hospitality, and I feel incredibly grateful to be bringing Tamila into the mix and rubbing shoulders with places I've admired for years.""
Prince Durairaj and Glen Leeson expanded their Tamila curry-house spin-off after opening in Clapham in 2024 and adding a second site in King's Cross in January. The Soho Tamila will be the largest location, spread over two floors with a private dining room in the basement. The menu will remain broadly the same, featuring tandoor-cooked meats, okra fries, Thanjavur chicken curry, Chettinad lamb curry, and garlic coriander naan. The drinks list will include Gunpowder Margaritas, Tamil Negronis and Charcoal Old Fashioneds. Opening date is February 2026 at 19-20 Poland Street, London W1F 8QF.
