Sweet Milk Dinner Rolls
"This is one of the easiest bread recipes I have. Even a novice cook can make great rolls with this recipe. I have used this recipe for regular bread, cinnamon bread, dinner rolls, hoagie rolls, hamburger rolls, and hot dog buns. 2 1/4 teaspoons yeast (1 package) 2 cups warm milk, 110-115 degrees 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 tablespoons butter, melted 1 teaspoon salt 5-6 cups al-purpose flour"
"In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in the warm milk. Let set for 5 minutes. Add the sugar, butter, salt, and 3 cups of flour. Beat until smooth. Add enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes (I use my Kitchen Aid stand mixer and the dough hook."
Combine 2 1/4 teaspoons yeast with 2 cups warm milk (110–115°F) and let sit five minutes. Add 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1 teaspoon salt, and 3 cups flour; beat until smooth. Add remaining flour to form a soft dough, then knead 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, let rise until doubled (about 1 hour). Divide into 16–36 pieces, shape, let rise 30 minutes, and bake at 350°F for 15–20 minutes until golden. Produces rolls, buns, or loaves suitable for many variations and uses.
