The architects Trewhela Williams and Etraterra created a stunning installation using Grolla stone for the Marmi Faedo company at a Verona trade fair. The design centers on a 6-meter-long bar inspired by the curvature of historical stone balustrades, embodying a minimalist Grolla landscape. The choice of Grolla highlights its durability and historical significance, having long been used in notable civic architecture across Northern Italy. The strikingly shaped bar, alongside supporting furniture made from the same stone, not only offers aesthetic elegance but also functional stability.
The installation design reflects a minimalist Grolla landscape, creating a serene oasis at the busy Verona trade fair, showcasing the unique characteristics of Grolla stone.
The stand’s central feature, a 6m long monolithic bar, is inspired by the historical balustrades of local architecture, reflecting both tradition and innovation in design.
With its excellent technical properties, Grolla stone has been utilized in historic civic buildings in Northern Italy, evidencing its strength and versatility in both old and new applications.
