San Jose: Devine Cheese & Wine closing its doors

Devine Cheese & Wine in San Jose will close at the end of service on Saturday, Aug. 30, ending five years of operation. The cafe opened in early 2020 at 27 Devine St., near downtown, and offered dinners, tasting events, pop-ups, vintner dinners and participation in Dine Downtown weeks. Owner Liana Ryan announced the closure with gratitude and sadness and thanked the community for its support. The cheese club will pause in September and resume in October. After five years of introducing South Bay food lovers to an international array of cheeses via creative cafe dishes, cheese boards, tasting events, vintner dinners and wine pairings San Jose's Devine Cheese & Wine will close at the end of service this Saturday, Aug. 30. Devine opened in early 2020 at 27 Devine St., at the corner of North Second Street near the edge of downtown. Besides serving dinner several nights a week, the restaurant offered tasting events, held pop-ups and participated in Dine Downtown promotional weeks. While our storefront is closing, our love of cheese isn't going anywhere, Ryan wrote, noting that that cheese club will resume in October after a break in September. They also will continue catering cheese boards for special events.
