Rodent infestations and flies in deli food among the reasons for restaurant closures issued last month

"Whilst most food businesses follow high food safety standards and are compliant with food law, inspectors continue to encounter cases where consumers' health is put at risk through a failure to comply with food safety and basic hygiene requirements."

"A total of eight closure orders were served last month, with five having since been lifted. The three premises which remain closed are Baalbec Take Away in Limerick, Al Huda Grocery in Summerhill, and Divine Catering in Tipperary."
