"A sleek new dinner and cocktail destination is headed to a prime slot on the Sunset Strip. Galerie will open on November 6 in the former Den on Sunset, which shuttered in March 2025 after 16 years. The restaurant from founders Trae Meyer-Whalley and Simon Pompan will serve a bistro-tinged menu from executive chef Gabriel Lindsey (Dudley Market) with partner Ben Ford in a dining room that channels Old Hollywood."
"Galerie's menu will center California ingredients, spotlighted in dishes like shrimp cocktail laid on a bed of ice with caper rémoulade and sweet potatoes grilled over charcoal until the outside is blackened, then split in half and drizzled with chopped fermented chilis, maple butter, and lime. Blistered kernels dot a late summer corn salad alongside ribbons of zucchini, while Gruyère and a French onion sauce blanket the Galerie burger."
"Dushan Zaric, co-founder of iconic New York City bar Employees Only, will lead Galerie's bar program with drinks like the Double Take, a butterfly pea powder mezcal cocktail with elderflower, passionfruit, and amaro. The Harvey Wallbanger, an orange juice and vodka cocktail popularized in the 1970s, is reworked with blood orange vodka, Galliano, chamomile, and clarified citrus, while the Flying Grasshopper blends reposado tequila with crème de menthe, crème de cacao, and vanilla ice cream."

Dushan Zaric will run the bar program with inventive cocktails and zero-proof options. Designers Jake Santelli and Brandon Quattrone created a space featuring a doorway obscured by red velvet curtains, a marble-clad outdoor patio, round-legged wood dining tables, and cane cantilever chairs.
