""There are so many Italian restaurants on Staten Island," Macri said. "We wanted to do something different. Todo Bien will have a beautiful menu, a beautiful vibe - wait until you see this restaurant." The name Todo Bien translates to "everything's good" in Spanish, echoing the meaning of Macri's Richmond Valley restaurant Tutto Apposto and reflecting his philosophy of hospitality and optimism. While the menu remains under wraps, Macri promises the same meticulous quality that has made his other establishments local favorites."
"At the festival, by the way, Tutto Apposto will serve its popular Pietro panuzzo - a pressed sandwich made from pizza dough filled with crispy chicken, burrata, pesto mayo, sun-dried tomatoes, and arugula - and host a panini-eating contest Saturday night. The event will feature live music from MGM and Judy Torres, food contests including zeppole, cannoli, and limoncello-making, rides, games, and fireworks. Macri will be on hand to talk about the new project as he hosts the Saturday evening food competition."
Peter Macri will open Todo Bien at 4221 Hylan Blvd. in Great Kills, converting the former Portobello Café into a Latin-flavored restaurant. He will partner with Anthony Mentesana and Sal Macri on the new venture. Todo Bien’s name means "everything's good" and reflects a hospitality-focused, optimistic approach. The menu is currently under wraps, but Macri promises the same meticulous quality as his other Staten Island restaurants: Panini Grill, Tutto Apposto, and Casa Nino's Pizza Bar. Tutto Apposto will feature its Pietro panuzzo and host a panini-eating contest at the upcoming Festa Italiana.
