Miguel's Jr. will celebrate its 50th anniversary on July 18 by offering cake and taco giveaways at all 23 locations. The first 50 customers will receive free taco cards with any purchase. Mary, who remains active in the company at age 82, shares personal stories and menu insights on social media. The chain recently expanded its menu to include french fries and chicken bites, as well as a line of merchandise.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Miguel's Jr. will distribute slices of cake and offer tacos to the first 50 customers at all locations on July 18.
Founder Mary Vasquez, 82, remains active with the company, making appearances on social media and sharing stories about the menu she created with her late husband.
Javier Vasquez, CEO and son of Mary Vasquez, stated that the opening date of the first Miguel's Jr. in 1975 has been lost to time.
The chain has expanded its menu to include french fries and chicken bites alongside traditional burritos and tacos, also launching new merchandise.
