'Sorry, Baby' stars Eva Victor, Naomi Ackie and Lucas Hedges share why fans should watch
Briefly

"Sorry, Baby" is an independent comedy-drama that addresses the complexities following trauma. Naomi Ackie, who portrays Lydie, emphasizes the healing process's duration and the significance of empathy. Lucas Hedges, who plays Gavin, hopes the film provides comfort through its sensitive storytelling. Eva Victor, the film's director, writer, and co-star, stresses the importance of surrounding oneself with supportive, creative individuals. The film reflects a universal narrative for those who feel stuck after difficult experiences, aiming to resonate deeply with audiences.
"In particular, people who have been through difficult times and feel stuck and feel like, you know, they're not moving forward as much as other people. And, it's finding empathy in that for yourself, and realizing that, like, the healing process takes a long time," Naomi Ackie (Lydie) shared.
"There are so many fantastic directors who are women, directors who are queer, directors who are non-binary and trans. And, I think, find them and like, hold each other because that's what I do with my friends. I have filmmaker friends and I keep a close circle of like queer and friendly filmmakers who keep me going when it feels lonely," Eva Victor stated.
