New Spinal Tap II Movie Finally Gets Release Date

Spinal Tap II, the sequel to the iconic 1984 film, now has a new release date set for September 12, 2025. Originally slated for a March 2024 premiere, its schedule shifted due to the Hollywood strikes of 2023. Director Rob Reiner, who returns as Marty Di Bergi, expressed his gratitude for working with Bleecker Street, the film's U.S. distributor. Cast members Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer will reprise their roles, and the film promises appearances from prominent musicians like Paul McCartney and Elton John, expanding upon the cult classic's legacy.
The film, originally set for a March 2024 release but delayed due to the Hollywood strikes of 2023, will get released on September 12, 2025.

Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer are returning to play the fictional members of Spinal Tap: David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel, and Derek Smalls.
The movie will also feature Paul McCartney, Elton John, and others.
