Joe Locke spent the summer completing filming on Heartstopper Forever and shot the mystery-thriller Black Church Bay in Wales. Black Church Bay follows Locke as an openly gay sixth-form student who has an intimate affair with his teacher, and centers on a disappearance that exposes long-buried secrets in a coastal community. Rhys Marc Jones wrote and directed the project, which explores the lengths someone will go to hide their true self. Tom Cullen plays the teacher. The series wrapped filming and is slated for release in 2026. Locke is also rehearsing his West End debut, Clarkston.
