The clip was produced from a two-line prompt using Seedance 2, an AI video generator released by ByteDance. A leading Hollywood screenwriter reacted that such tools could allow a single person to create movies indistinguishable from current studio releases if they possess exceptional talent. The Motion Picture Association accused ByteDance of massive, unauthorised use of US copyrighted works and called on ByteDance to cease infringing activity, citing threats to creators' rights and millions of American jobs.
