Disney+ released a restored and expanded version of The Beatles Anthology, growing the original 1995 documentary from eight to nine episodes. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr revisit the highs, lows, and twists of their eight years as a band, from gritty early days through Beatlemania to global superstardom. The new ninth episode contains previously unreleased footage of Paul, George, and Ringo during the creation of the original 1990s Anthology project and is directed by Oliver Murray. Directors for the first eight episodes include Geoff Wonfor, Bob Smeaton, and Matt Longfellow. Producers include Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Olivia Harrison, Sean Ono Lennon, Jonathan Clyde, and Martin R. Smith. Footage and sound were restored by Apple Corps and technicians at Peter Jackson's Park Road Post in Wellington. Episodes one through three stream November 26, episodes four through six on November 27, and the final three including the bonus ninth episode on November 28.
