Backrooms Actor Mark Duplass Says Kane Parsons Absolutely Directed It
Mark Duplass defended Kane Parsons against online claims that someone else directed the sci-fi horror film. Duplass said he did not see the critic on set and stated that Parsons was 100% in control when Duplass was present. Duplass added that Parsons had more control than many directors three times his age. Duplass later said on Instagram that Parsons was intensely prepared and did not need help from Duplass or from producers involved in Backrooms, including James Wan, Shawn Levy, and Osgood Perkins. Parsons also responded to the controversy with a joke in a comment on a content creator’s post.
