Adrian Appiolaza, the creative director of Moschino, invites viewers into his Paris apartment, which features a stunning 4000-piece collection of post-1980s Japanese and French fashion. Sharing the space with partner Ryan Benacer, Adrian reflects on his religious upbringing in Buenos Aires that sparked his fascination with fashion and iconography. The tour highlights various spaces within the apartment, revealing both personal style and curated items, from his bedroom showcasing Martin Margiela duvet covers to a collection room framed by black aesthetics, representing his passion and attention to detail in fashion.
Every Sunday, I'd go to church with my grandma. This picture was taken at my first communion, in 1982. I'd never worn a tie before; I think I had on velvet trousers. Even at age 10, I was opinionated about how my family dressed, saying things like, Maybe you should wear that with a jacket.
I love this room because it has the spirit of cabinet de curiosites. And this is our closet. Here is where we keep most of the pieces we like to wear.
