"Fashion image makers on our MA often treat the word 'fashion' rather loosely. We encourage that,"
"For the tenth anniversary of the course, we brought together the best of this year's work into our own magazine, with the subtitle How We Feel Now. It reflects the power and immediacy of photography in conveying emotions."
"Although quite different in style and created in locations around the world, each project is very much rooted in the personal experience of each image maker,"
"I like observing how people behave in natural, unposed states. These moments inspire me to bring a sense of authenticity and contemporaneity into my work,"
Central Saint Martins MA Fashion Communication celebrates its tenth anniversary with a debut magazine, Rethinking Fashion Image, subtitled How We Feel Now. The magazine gathers work from six artists who use photography to probe contemporary identity with intimacy and emotional immediacy. Projects span diverse styles and global locations while remaining rooted in each image maker's personal experience. Photography is presented as a tool for conveying feeling and bridging reality and virtuality. Pacor Wang applies a documentary gaze to street style, privileging unposed, authentic moments and focusing on the Hackney youth community rather than polished commercial imagery.
